We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is part of our design, development, testing, and support process. This statement describes the current application; it is not a claim that every page or third-party service is free of barriers.
Accessibility built into the application
Keyboard access
A skip link, visible focus indicators, logical tab order, Escape-to-close dialogs, and contained modal focus help people navigate without a mouse.
Display preferences
The Accessibility button offers larger text, higher contrast, and reduced motion. Preferences stay on the current device and can be reset at any time.
Screen-reader structure
Pages use headings, landmarks, labels, live status messages, named navigation, and descriptive controls so tasks and updates have usable context.
Touch and reflow
Important controls have practical touch targets, layouts adapt to phone and tablet widths, and content is designed to reflow without requiring two-dimensional scrolling.
Using RentalHome HQ
- Skip repeated navigation: press Tab when a page opens and choose “Skip to main content.”
- Open display controls: choose the Accessibility button at the lower edge of any page.
- Close a dialog: press Escape or use the clearly labeled close or cancel control.
- Use browser zoom: RentalHome HQ supports browser text and page zoom in addition to its larger-text preference.
Compatibility and third-party services
RentalHome HQ is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and common screen readers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Secure sign-in, Stripe checkout, banking, screening, e-signature, and other linked services are operated by their providers and may have separate accessibility features and limitations.
Known limitations and ongoing work
- Landlord-uploaded photos and documents may not include complete descriptions unless the sender provides useful context.
- Printed lease drafts, tax reports, and uploaded documents should be reviewed for reading order and document accessibility before distribution.
- Dense financial tables may be easier to use with a larger screen or exported report, even though their controls remain keyboard accessible.
We continue to review new workflows, color palettes, forms, dialogs, reports, and uploaded media as the product grows.
